“ The spirit of Mary is something most delicate and profound, obtained only through sustained meditation and prayer. ” - Jean Claude Colin, Founder Marist Order

Vocations

Welcome. If you have got this far and found this page, you may have some interest in exploring your own vocation in life, or in finding out more about the Marist way of life.

Religious life today needs men and women of energy, personality, drive and enthusiasm, who are committed to the vision and goals of Jesus Christ and are willing to live this vision and these goals in the spirituality of a particular religious congregation, like the Marist Fathers. People who can go freely and unhindered to the places and needs that others cannot or will not go, who will make sacrifices for that purpose, who are prepared to leave their house of residence, their family of birth, their job of satisfaction for the sake of that vision and mission of Jesus Christ.

Religious life today offers new challenges, new work and endless opportunities. No particular skills are needed, as training will be provided. Commitment and self-belief are essential, as are average intelligence, and good physical and mental health.
